Custom van mattresses for campers

Sleeping well in a van starts with a mattress that actually fits the space you have. A standard home mattress won’t do: the dimensions are different, the floor is often irregular and the inside of a vehicle needs materials that can handle its conditions. That’s why we make our mattresses to measure, built for camper vans from the start.

Why a custom mattress and not an off-the-shelf one

Every van has its own interior dimensions: the cargo area isn’t always rectangular, wheel arches take up floor space and the length changes from one model to the next. A standard mattress rarely fits well. Ours matches the available space exactly, with no gaps that let it shift and no edges hanging in the air.

Materials and options

We work with two main types of fill. High-density foam is the firmer, longer-lasting option: it doesn’t sink with use and keeps its shape well over time. The memory foam layer adds extra body contouring, softer and more enveloping for people who prefer a cushioned feel.

Outer cover

The cover is breathable, durable and easy to clean. Moisture and condensation are common inside a van, and the fabric we use handles those conditions well without holding odours or breaking down over time. The cover also comes off for washing.

How to choose yours

The most common thickness for a camper van mattress is between 8 and 12 cm. Under 8 cm and comfort starts to suffer on longer nights; over 12 cm and you can lose headroom inside the vehicle. Firmness depends on how you sleep: back sleepers usually prefer something firmer, side sleepers something slightly softer. If you’re not sure, get in touch and we’ll help you decide.
