What does a Camporan folding van bed include?

You can choose from three options depending on your needs:

Complete pack: Bed frame + Mattress

The most popular option. Includes the frame made from 9-ply marine birch plywood and the folding mattress made to measure for your model. All in one, ready to assemble from day one.

Bed frame only

If you already have a mattress or want to choose your own, you can purchase the frame on its own. Lightweight, rigid and with usable storage space underneath.

Folding mattress only

Do you already have the frame but need to replace the mattress? We also sell mattresses separately, cut to size for each van model.

Every van has its own dimensions. That’s why all our frames and mattresses are made to measure for the exact model, they aren’t one-size-fits-all, they’re made to fit perfectly.

Bed for small vans (Mini Van)

For models such as the Citroën Berlingo, Peugeot Partner/Rifter, Renault Kangoo, Mercedes Citan, Fiat Doblò, Opel Combo, VW Caddy, Ford Tourneo Courier and similar.

Bed for medium-sized vans

For models such as the VW T5/T6, Renault Trafic, Opel Vivaro, Citroën Jumpy, Peugeot Expert, Toyota ProAce, Fiat Talento, Ford Transit Custom and similar.

What does the folding bed pack include?

The pack includes the folding bed frame and the custom mattress for your van. Both are designed to fit perfectly within the available space of your specific model.

Does the folding bed free up cargo space during the day?

Yes, the folding system allows you to clear the van’s interior when the bed is not in use, keeping the vehicle fully functional for everyday driving.

Is the bed compatible with my van model?

Each frame and mattress is made to measure for a specific model. We work with over 20 van models, from compact minivans to large vans. You can check compatibility on each product page or write to us directly; we’ll confirm within minutes whether we have a solution for your model.

Can I still use the van for work if I install a fold-out bed?

Yes, that’s exactly what it’s for. The bed dismantles completely in under 2 minutes and fits folded away in the boot or outside the vehicle. During the week, your van remains 100% functional for work or deliveries. At the weekend, you turn it into a campervan. No permanent modifications, nothing lost.

Do I need to make any modifications to the van to install the structure?

No. Our structures do not require drilling, screwing or modifying the vehicle. They are supported and anchored without damaging the bodywork or the interior. This also means that, if you change vans, you can take the structure with you, provided the new model is compatible.

Which mattress is best for sleeping in a campervan?

It depends on your preferences and how you plan to use it. For occasional weekend use, an 8–10 cm high-density foam mattress is sufficient and very versatile. If you’re looking for a night’s sleep more like at home for long journeys, the mattress with a memory foam layer (5 cm of foam + 3 cm of memory foam) offers a significantly better night’s sleep. At Camporan, we have both options, made to measure for your model.

Can I buy just the frame without the mattress, or just the mattress?

Yes. You can purchase the complete pack (frame + mattress), just the frame if you already have a mattress, or just the mattress if you need to replace yours or add to a frame you already have. All products are available separately in the shop.

Can the bed support the weight of two adults?

Yes. Our frames are made from 9-ply marine birch plywood, laminated on both sides, the same material used in boats. They are designed and tested to support the weight of two adults without bending or warping. Furthermore, as some models have no central legs, the space underneath is completely free for storage.
